Hello lovely people!
It's been a while since I wrote a blog/newsletter/update - and I'm very aware of that and am very pleased that you're here reading this one...you may have noticed, if you were a previous subscriber, that things look slightly different.
I changed websites in May; I liked my old site but as my business has evolved, there were certain things lacking - namely the opportunity for my Pet Photography clients to see their photos in a private online gallery; for those who don't live close to me to be able to buy my wildlife prints, or fine art abstract prints - or a bag or a coaster or a greetings card - to be able to do that easily as well...and I'm enjoying developing this site to reflect what I'm doing these days...
...which is, having the best time capturing the best pets! Above is a small selection from earlier this year - Pet Photography in the great outdoors; I absolutely love it! These photoshoots took place at West Woods, near Marlborough in Wiltshire; in the grounds of Lydiard Park near Swindon; in a private garden in the Wiltshire countryside; in Jubilee Wood close to the Kennet and Avon canal in Devizes, and in the fabulous Foxley Paddock secure dog field that's not far from Devizes - showing that all locations have something to offer and give great possibilities for original pet photography.
I'm also still a regular in the Shambles in Devizes on Thursdays and Saturdays in my usual Bay 20. If I'm not there, it's most likely that I'm doing an event elsewhere; I've enjoyed several new Fairs this year and have headed over the border (!!) to Berkshire and Somerset a few times.
Talking of which, below you can see where I'll be in September...please don't hesitate to get in touch if you want to check on my whereabouts! Or if you'd like to meet at my workshop in Devizes Marina Village. I pin these dates to my Facebook and Instagram pages so don't forget you can check there as well.
I'm looking forward to my weekend in Melksham, in my gazebo, for the Food and River Festival - it's all in the title, isn't it? I'll be there with samples of my Pet Photography and lots of my prints, slates, cards and gift ideas for sale. Head to Melksham, Wiltshire and follow the crowds - it's a popular event and I'm really happy to have got a place there.
Rainscombe Park is gorgeous - deep in the Wiltshire countryside amidst rolling hills on the edge of the Pewsey Vale. I absolutely love this part of the world. On Sunday 13 September I'll be here in my gazebo with heaps of gorgeous photos of gorgeous pets on display. I'm offering a free Pet Portrait Session - yes, an hour of fun outdoor pet photography with me! - as a super-duper raffle prize at the PAWS charity dog show on September 13th (& if you're the raffle winner but have already booked your very own Pet Portrait Session on the day, you'll have £75 credit towards your prints, yay!) It's fund-raising event for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and the Bobby Van Trust - find more information and book your ticket here: PAWS Charity Dog Show

I'm not going to ramble on forever, but thought it would be nice to share a few photos I've made over the last few months; I love going slow and playing with exposure times and the water images here are from canal overflows; the flowers were shaking nicely in the breeze and, well, damselflies in a heatwave deserve to look even more ethereal and shimmery than usual, I think!
Let's not forget the wildlife on and next to the canals - I've been so busy this year that I've not got out and about with my camera as much as I'd have liked, but here are just a few of my neighbours for you!
Right, that's it for now but I do promise to be more consistent with this newsletter in future...

All the best to you all,
