FAQs
The answers to your questions
My dog never sits still...how will you ever get a photo?
because I'm fast, and so's my camera! because with years of experience, I'm used to anticipating what's about to happen - I have a tendency to drop to the ground with very little warning, this is what makes the difference!
My dog's reactive/nervous - what do you suggest?
I'd recommend a secure dog paddock - where your dog (and you) can relax and have fun without the worry of distractions or troublesome encounters. I'm happy to suggest somewhere or to meet you at your preferred place
Can I be in the photos?
Absolutely! While the pet is the focus of the Pet Portrait Session, I love including some people too - as per my style, I like the shots to be unstuffy and natural, showing the bond between you. If you're feeling camera-shy, there's always detail shots; have a look at my gallery for some people shots without faces showing!
Where will we have the Pet Portrait Session?
Where would you like it to be? A Pet Portrait Session flows when you and your pet are happy, unstressed and relaxed. If you've a favourite place, let's meet there. If you'd like to stay within your garden, that's great. If you have a particular secure paddock you go to, wonderful. If you really don't know, or would like to find a new place for a lovely and photogenic walk, I can suggest places based on you and your dog's likes and character - feel free to get in touch to chat about options.
What if it's raining???
ahh, the weather...
heavy rain is not our friend, raging winds are not our friend either; but a spot of drizzle and a gentle breeze are no deterrent (unless your dog refuses to set foot outside in the above conditions, in which case, let me know!)
It's amazing, considering the great British weather, how few Pet Portrait Sessions are postponed because of it - but if we can see that it's going to be awful, we'll push back the shoot to our back-up date
Can I get a Pet Portrait Session as a gift? How long is it valid for?
yes you can! all bookings and gift vouchers are valid for 3 months from date of purchase, but if you're buying as a gift, I'm more than happy to forward-date it to the occasion and they'll have 3 months from that date.
You can contact me with the details and I'll send you a payment link and then the Voucher on to the lucky person, or you can buy directly here on my website and leave a note on the payment page
I'd love a beautiful print on my wall, but do you do anything else?
prints on walls are a passion of mine, but I also love the little extras that feature our best friends...other options are photo books of your Pet Portrait Session; garlands of gorgeous fine art squares; or how about a mug and coaster, or bag or cushion with a classy or comic photo?
This all sounds fantastic!
How do I book?
Fabulous!
