About a Pet Portrait Session

 A one-pet Pet Portrait Session lasts around an hour – the more pets, generally the more time I’ll need to make sure each Pet is properly photographed (there’s always one that loves the lens and one that is less bothered!)

We’ll fix a date and a back-up, as the great British weather doesn’t always behave – most weather is good for a Pet Portrait Session (clouds are our friends!) but heavy rain or wind isn’t!

The Photoshoot will be outdoors, with natural light, in your and your pet’s favourite spot - this could be a walk local to you; a secure dog field; your garden. I’m always happy to discuss possible locations and if you’re struggling for inspiration, I have a few places that are great for Pet Photography

If we go to a secure dog field (I can recommend places if needed) one session of 50 minutes is plenty

My Pet Portrait Sessions should be fun for you and your Pet; I’ll capture their natural behaviour and if ever they’re bored with what they’re doing, we’ll move on

During our time together I’ll take a variety of shots from different angles, with different lenses, allowing you to have a good selection of images from which to choose your favourites for your walls

We’ll plan to meet around 2 weeks after our Pet Portrait Session in my workshop on the edge of Devizes where I’ll show you the best photographs

If you’re not close to Devizes, the ‘best of the best’ photos will be available for viewing in your very own private online Gallery; I will still be on hand to offer personal help and advice for you to select prints and design multi-photo frames

There are 3 images per dog for digital sharing included, and as many as you wish to be professionally printed and framed - the costs for this depend on the size and type of print and frame; there are lots of Pets on my walls that offer inspiration and ideas to help you choose what suits your taste and budget best; with prices starting from £18 for a 7x5” print in a 10x8” mount you may decide to get gifts for your pet’s fans as well as for yourself!

Any photos that you have printed (or put onto cards, mugs or bags) will also be sent to you as low-res digital images for you to share or use as screensavers

I would love to be able to use a few of my favourite images from the session for use online for publicity purposes and printed to show off both your beautiful pet and my photography; please let me know if you are not happy with this

Copyright and high-resolution files for printing from the shoot remain with me, but you will always be able to purchase more prints in the future at the going rate; I have copies of copies of all files safely stored for future-proofing!
